Ranchitos Village is a vibrant community, nestled in the far northeast heights of Albuquerque, NM, home to the renowned International Balloon Festival. Our community offers a unique living experience through the Section 202/8 program, specially crafted for individuals with physical disabilities.
Designed with accessibility and comfort in mind, our community features 40 self-contained one-bedroom apartments. Each apartment is thoughtfully equipped with a spacious living/dining area, a complete kitchen, a cozy bedroom, and a convenient bathroom. Our single-story garden-style buildings ensure easy access for all residents, enhancing mobility and independence.
To qualify for occupancy and housing assistance, individuals must be 18 years or older, have a mobility-impairing disability, pass background checks, and meet income criteria. Our commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment is reflected in our stringent eligibility criteria.
Beyond the comfort of our apartments, residents can immerse themselves in a range of enriching activities. Our beautiful community room serves as a hub for social gatherings, events, and leisure activities, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Additionally, residents have the opportunity to cultivate their green thumbs in our community garden, fostering connections with nature and fellow residents.
